Children and depression

Depression normally isn't brought on by just one event or reason, but is ordinarily the resolution of many elements. Reasons change from children to another.

Depression may be caused by reduced amounts of neurotransmitters (chemicals that take signals by means of the central nervous system) from the brain, which reduces a person's ability to feel good. Genetics are probably included as depression can run in families, so someone with a close family member who has depression could be more probably to experience it.

Important life events such as losing of a loved family member, the divorce of parents, a transfer to a whole new place, may produce signs and symptoms of major depression.
