WIPO обяви новината за присъединяването на Египет към Мадридският протокол. Протоколът ще влезе в сила за страната от 3 септември 2009 година. С присъединяването на Египет страните членки на Протоколът стават 79, а тези по Мадридската система, като цяло 84.

WIPO announced the news of the accession of Egypt to the Madrid Protocol. The Protocol will enter into force for the country by September 3, 2009. With the accession of Egypt, the countries members of this Protocol shall become 79, and those of the Madrid system as a whole 84.
