Nikon представиха най-очакваната AF-S версия на техният 85mm f/1.4 обектив. AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G ED покрива пълен 24×36 мм кадър и е напълно съвместим с FX и DX тела, както и е възможно да се монтира на съвременно филмово огледално-рефлексно тяло Nikon, като например Nikon F6 (макар, че е обектив от G серията, липсата на пръстен за блендата го прави неподходящ за използване със стари аналогови тела на Nikon).
