New highest fines for speeding in Bulgaria in 2017

Since 2017 there is a new Law on driving rules in Bulgaria.

In compliance with the new Law new higher fines and penalties for speeding in Bulgaria will be imposed:

 

Spedding with more than: Fines, BGN (in populated area) Fines, BGN (outside populated area) Fines (BGN) for drivers of passengers or dangerous goods 10 km/h 20 20 20 11-20 km/h 50 50 50 21-30 km/h 100 + withdrawal of 2 control points 100 + withdrawal of 2 control points 150 + withdrawal of 2 control points 31-40 km/h 400 + withdrawal of 6 control points 300 + withdrawal of 6 control points 500 + withdrawal of 6 control points 41-50 km/h 600 + withdrawal of 12 control points 400 + withdrawal of 12 control points 800 withdrawal of 12 control points над 50 km/h 700 + deprivation of a driving license for 3 months + withdrawal of 16 control points. In case of speeding over 50 km/h, for each exceeded 5 km/h the fine increased by BGN 50. 600 + deprivation of a driving license for 3 months + withdrawal of 16 control points. In case of speeding over 50 km/h, for each exceeded 5 km/h the fine increased by BGN 50. 1000 + deprivation of a driving license for 3 months + withdrawal of 16 control points. In case of speeding over 50 km/h, for each exceeded 5 km/h the fine increased by BGN 50.

* In case of repeated violation the fines is doubled.

** In case of systematically speeding the fine is double + revocation of driver’s license for a period of six months..
